Saint John’s is a sacred space where all are welcome. Founded as a mission to Caufield Racecourse in 1883, Saint John’s has served as a centre of worship for over 125 years. One of Melbourne’s unique architectural treasures, the parish acquired land in Finch Street in 1888, when the needs of a growing community required a bigger building. The current church, with its beautiful stone exterior, has stood substantially unaltered for over 90 years. It is Classified in the Register of the National Trust of Australia.
